The story
Long ago, hidden monstahs lived deep in the jungle. One day they paddled to Hawai‘i and discovered the most ono snack in the whole world: musubi. Soon hundreds of them were raiding the islands, grabbing every musubi they could get their paws on… until Jake, the giant grumpy boulder monster, woke up.
How to play
Musubi War is a turn-based strategy game: you move, then the other side moves. Win by defeating the other side's leader.
Pick your crew and leader
Choose a faction, like the Mauka Mob from the mountains or the Makai Crew from the sea, and choose which monster leads. Each crew has its own special trait.Hire monstahs at your keep
Your leader stands on the keep. Tap Hire to spend musubi on new monsters; they appear on the castle tiles around it. If your leader walks away from the keep, you can't hire until they come back.Move and capture villages
Tap a monster, then tap a glowing tile to move. Step onto a village, food truck or harbor to capture it: every village you own earns extra musubi each turn.Fight
Move next to an enemy (or within 2 tiles for monsters with ranged weapons) and tap it to attack. The preview shows your chance to hit and the damage. Enemies you can reach this turn wear a little "!".Win
Defeat the other side's leader and the island is yours. Earn gold musubi to spend in the Shop on new planes, surfboards and pets.Tips from the locals
Ground matters
Forests, hills and villages make monsters harder to hit. Standing on a village also gives +20% chance to hit.Flank them
Attack with a teammate on the far side of the enemy for +25% damage.Treasure chests
Find a chest on the map and answer a quick Hawaiian word quiz for bonus musubi.Watch out for Jake
The mossy boulder can wake up mid-battle. Feed him musubi and he fights for you for 3 turns, or beat him for a big prize.Mind the volcano
When the Grumble meter fills, lava flows or big waves sweep the island. Keep your monsters off low ground.Level up
Every fight earns experience. Level up and pick a reward: more health, harder hits or an extra move. What's inside
