Tips for this island

There is a lot of water here. Monsters that swim (look for Ocean or Amphibious) can take shortcuts the rest cannot, and the Makai Crew feels at home.
Much of the island is forest, hills or mountains. Those tiles are slow to cross but hard to hit you on (50-60% defense), which suits the Mauka Mob's Hardhead trait.
Volcanic ground means lava can flow when the Grumble meter fills. Lava pushes monsters out of its way; keep your leader off low ground near the vents.
With 5 villages, every one you hold pays 2 musubi a turn. Grab the ones closest to your keep first, then fight over the ones in the middle.
This is a big island: hire a few fast scouts early so you are not still walking when the enemy arrives.
